Terms and Conditions for Match2Ride

By downloading or using the Match2Ride mobile application, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. This app is operated by Tech Milano Inc.

1. Description of Service

Match2Ride is a social networking platform that allows users to share their location with "Friends" and coordinate attending events together. Tech Milano Inc. provides the platform but is not an event organizer, transportation provider, or taxi service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use this service. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

3. Social Interaction: Friending & Blocking

  • Mutual Consent: Interaction on Match2Ride requires mutual consent. You can only share location or message users who have accepted your Friend Request.
  • Blocking: You have the right to block any user at any time. Once blocked, that user will lose all access to your profile, location, and event status. We encourage the use of the blocking and reporting tools to maintain a safe environment.

4. User Conduct & Safety

You agree not to:

  • Use the location-sharing feature to stalk, harass, or track any user without their ongoing consent.
  • Impersonate any person or entity.
  • Use the app for any illegal purposes or to organize unauthorized commercial transport.

Safety Warning: Meeting people from the internet involves inherent risks. Tech Milano Inc. does not perform criminal background checks on its users. Always meet in public places and use the app's safety features to keep trusted friends informed of your whereabouts.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by the laws of Quebec:

  • Events & Rides: Tech Milano Inc. is not responsible for any incidents, injuries, or damages that occur during events or during travel to/from events coordinated via the app.
  • No Warranty: The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
  • Damages: Tech Milano Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app or interactions with other users.

6. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or the community.

7. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada. Any disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in the judicial district of Montreal.
